Â The MS Walk it meant to help bring awareness to the fact that 55,000 to 75,000 Canadians live with multiple sclerosis and that every day, three more Canadians are diagnosed with MS.

I have participated in MS Walks from Seattle to Miami in the US.  These are family-oriented events combining fundraising and education with fun and community spirit.  The MS Walks are a unique  fundraisers because there is always a wheelchair accessible route – which is an important consideration especially for individuals who have multiple sclerosis.
My experience at the last MS Walk in Seattle was very energetic and entertaining. This year there seemed to be more booths from pharmaceutical corporations than in the past. An indication of the increase in treatment options.
While there were no booths set up to specifically sponsor CCSVI, there were several advocates and MS patients who have undergone the CCSVI therapy relating their experience and results.
As one who has been tested received a positive DX for CCSVI, months ago the waiting for treatment is difficult.Someone in our local support group has paid to get this done in Albany, arriving home with significant results. Wonder how long it will take until Health Canada starts to fund for this procedure to be done here?This would save over time, by reducing the use of expensive drugs which often don’t work. As well this could prevent young people, diagnosed with MS, from becoming disabled.
